About this painting
Deep matte black ripples that change with the light, giving any wall quiet drama.
This large black abstract painting is hand-painted in oil, with undulating textured waves rippling across the whole canvas. The monochrome finish suits modern living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, and pairs easily with neutral or bold decor. Its long 1:2 format can hang horizontally above a sofa or vertically in a narrow space. If you are looking for oversized black wall art with real surface texture rather than a flat print, this piece delivers.

Care & hanging
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water and cleaning products on the paint surface.
Hang away from strong direct sunlight, radiators and damp areas to keep colors and canvas at their best.
For larger pieces, use two hooks or wall anchors and a level so the painting stays straight and secure.

Our story
That empty wall you keep meaning to sort out?
Most of us live with a bare wall far longer than we'd like. Not because we don't care, but because buying art online feels like a gamble.
Will it look flat and cheap once it's up? Is it too small for the sofa? Will it turn up with a dented corner?
We built Midas Fine Art around those three worries. We pick pieces with real depth, the kind that looks different at 9am than it does at 9pm. Our size guide shows how each size fits above a sofa, you choose the frame, and we pack it properly and ship it free.
All that's left is you, a hammer and a wall that finally feels finished.

Questions about this painting
Will it look like the photos?
Yes. Each piece has a rich, layered finish, so tiny details and texture can vary slightly from piece to piece. That's part of what makes it feel special on your wall.
Which frame option should I choose?
Rolled canvas is the painting only, ideal if you want to frame it locally. Frameless is stretched over bars and hangs as it is. Framed adds the frame finish you pick. Open the frame menu to see a close-up of each finish.
What size is right for my wall?
Above a sofa, bed or console, choose art about two-thirds of the furniture's width. The size diagram under the size buttons shows your chosen size above an 84 in sofa.
Is it available and how much is shipping?
If you can add it to your cart, it's available to order. Your piece is prepared in the size and frame you pick, and shipping is free on every order to the United States.
